Oh Deer!

May 11,2010 we noticed 6 deer down along the river.

White Crowned Sparrows

Spring Snow left an inch of snow on the ground yesterday, today we noticed a few White Crowned Sparrows at the feeder, 3 Redwings, and a male Western Meadowlark in front yard.

Now that's a branch!

The girls and I enjoyed a refreshing morning walk up the lane April 4,2010. We watched some noisy birds in the tree and this is the branch the girls chose to drawn in their nature journals.

Spring is still teasing. blustery, chilly day...wore jackets on walk.

3 Loggerhead Shrike birds in my cherry tree/bushes. Exciting new bird sighting.
Robins watched as we turned the garden soil, hoping to snag a worm or two, no doubt.

Red tailed Hawk in tree.
Western Meadowlarks enjoying the new fence perch.
Tulips are growing strong. Daffodils are fading. Cherry blooms are awake.
